At the main Olympic sport base in Tsaghkadzor RA President Serzh Sargsyan together with Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and other officials watched the final competitions of “Best sport family 2015” for the RA President’s Cup held for the 12th year running. By the order of the RA President made on June 4 2015, the competition was separated into three directions: “Best sport family 2015” held in June-September, “Best sport pre-schooling establishment” and “Best disabled sportsman” to be held in October.
2 065 families or 6 195 people from Yerevan, RA regions and Artsakh participated in the first stage of “Best sport family 2015” competition, and more than 6000 children and disabled people are going to take part in “Best sport pre-schooling establishment” and “Best disabled sportsman” to be held in October of this year. Total number of participants in the three competitions for the RA President’s Cup this year will increase 12.000.
“Best sport family 2015” competition was held in three stages, four age groups, 6-7 kinds of sport. 144 families passed the first stages came to the final stage. 19 families with disabled members from Yerevan, RA regions and Artsakh joined the final stage.
The President of the Republic congratulated the winners, handed them the certificates, the money awards and souvenirs as well as cups to the delegations of Yerevan, NKR and RA regions. All the children of the 144 families entered the final stage and of the 19 families with disabled members got encouraging presents from the President. In total team scoring the Yerevan families got 2005 scores and won the first prize deserving the RA President’s Cup for the third year running. President Serzh Sargsyan handed the Cup to Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan.
Congratulating the delegation of Yerevan and expressing gratitude to them for the victory, Taron Margaryan wished the winners lots of new achievements. The Mayor once again stressed that the Municipality would always support sport loving residents and families of Yerevan.
