The Power of One Dram Joins the Final Phase of the Symphonic Forest Project

Within the framework of the "The Power of One Dram" initiative, AMD 4,644,456 collected during February was transferred to the “Matemik” NGO to support the implementation and development of the organization’s educational programs. The collected funds will be directed toward the educational development of children and youth, the dissemination of knowledge, and the advancement of the organization’s mission, contributing to the continuous development of the education sector. Financial literacy courses will also be conducted for the beneficiary children.

Within the framework of IDBank and Idram’s “The Power of One Dram” initiative, the funds collected during March will be directed toward the second, concluding phase of the “Symphonic Forest” concert.

Last year’s “Symphonic Forest” concert achieved significant success and received a wide public response, becoming a unique cultural event that combined classical music with the natural environment. The concert was not only an important cultural initiative but also a program with an environmental message, within which the planting of 20,000 trees was announced.

Considering the public’s interest in and positive response to the program, the organizers of the initiative have decided to carry out the concert’s second, concluding part, during which “The Power of One Dram” will be the main and exclusive partner of the “Symphonic Forest” program.

The funds collected during March for “The Power of One Dram” initiative will be allocated specifically to this phase, contributing both to the organization of the concert and to the full implementation of last year’s announced tree-planting program.

According to Tatevik Vardevanyan, Head of Communications and Social Responsibility Programs at IDBank and Idram, the implementation of the Symphonic Forest will be made possible thanks to the second phase of program funding: “When we launched the program together with the Armenian Symphony Orchestra and the ‘My Forest Armenia’ NGO, we made a promise that 20,000 trees would be planted in the forest. Thanks to the first concert and the collaboration of Idram and IDBank, 10,000 trees were planted. During March, with the funds from ‘The Power of One Dram,’ an additional 10,000 trees will be planted, establishing another forest in our country that will have a positive impact on the environment for years to come. Idram and IDBank, as part of their Social Responsibility program, have already planted around 42,000 trees. This year, the number of trees will exceed 15,000. Thus, we will fulfill our promise to plant 25,000 trees during 2025–2026,” said Tatevik Vardevanyan.

“Thanks to the proceeds from ticket sales of last year’s October concert and the sponsorship of IDBank, in the fall of 2025 we planted 9,343 trees near the village of Dzorashen in the Shirak region, as part of the future Symphonic Forest. We are very happy that this collaboration continues, and this year we will complete the planting of the Symphonic Forest. In the years to come, it will become not only a symbol of the orchestra’s 20th anniversary, but also a symbol of the power of music, nature, and the unity of all of us,” said Lilit Martirosyan, Deputy Director of the “My Forest Armenia” NGO.

“For us, it is extremely joyful and inspiring that our collaboration with IDBank and Idram’s ‘The Power of One Dram’ initiative was not limited to just one concert. Continuing this collaboration will allow us to fully implement our project to plant 20,000 trees in the Symphonic Forest, which we are carrying out together with the ‘My Forest Armenia’ NGO. In the near future, we will present the audience with another unique concert project that will unite nature and music. We hope that the unique forest, planted according to the orchestra’s structure, will not only symbolize our 20th anniversary but also play an important role in increasing forested areas in our country,” said Sargis Balbabyan, Director of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra.

“The Power of One Dram” continues to support important social, environmental, and cultural initiatives, bringing together people’s small contributions around large and meaningful goals.
